lemon balm - zone 7a

According to the write up about lemon balm there are two big items I disagree with - both based on my experience.  First, it is only thru zone 5. I am in zone 7a, weatherford area. I planted a couple of small plants 4 or 5 years ago & this herb comes back every year. In fact, my second disagreement is the right up doesn't tell how invasive this plant is.  From a say one foot area I now have a 2' x 6' covered area plus it has popped up in other areas. It has become such an invasive plant that I'm tempted to spray it with vinegar or something to kill it. I hate the stuff. Unless maybe it was in a pot. If any one has any suggestions on how to control this plant I'm all ears.  Thanks.
